From Page to Stage Productions was built on passion, perseverance, and a belief in the transformative power of theatre—and few people embody those values more completely than Shirley Rowe.
As a founding member of FPTS, Shirley helped shape not only the organization we are today, but the spirit that continues to guide us forward. From the earliest days, her vision, generosity, and unwavering commitment helped build a foundation rooted in education, inclusion, and community.
Shirley’s impact at FPTS is remarkable not just for its longevity, but for its depth and breadth. She has worn many hats—often simultaneously—and excelled in every role:
Director, guiding productions with clarity, creativity, and heart
Teacher, nurturing our special needs actors with patience, encouragement, and high standards
Actor, bringing stories to life onstage with warmth and authenticity
Board Member, helping steer the organization with wisdom, integrity, and a steadfast belief in our mission

In each role, Shirley has led by example. She showed our students and fellow artists what it means to be prepared, collaborative, and kind—values that extend far beyond the stage. Perhaps Shirley’s greatest legacy lies in the countless lives she has touched. Actors have found their confidence because she believed in them. Shirley has always understood that theatre is not just about performance—it is about people. She championed inclusion, celebrated individuality, and ensured that everyone who walked through our doors felt seen, valued, and supported.
The programs we offer, the culture we protect, and the community we continue to grow all carry Shirley’s influence. Her dedication helped turn an idea into an organization, and an organization into a home for artists of all ages. While titles may change over time, Shirley Rowe’s role in the story of From Page to Stage Productions is permanent. Her work, her mentorship, and her spirit live on in every rehearsal room, every performance, and every young person who dares to step into the spotlight.
We honor Shirley Rowe with deep gratitude and admiration. While we are sad your tenure as a board member is at an end, we thank you for your leadership, your talent, your time, and your heart. From Page to Stage Productions is better because of you—and we look forward to your leadership as it evolves into other roles in the future.
